MFT materialized in South East London as an innate immune response to the mundane. What started as a spontaneous social groove among friends, a shared need to make noise and escape the serious, rapidly mutated into a full-scale Creative Collective.

The idea is simple. The production of dangerously addictive songs and electrifying live shows that are impossible to ignore. This passion has propelled us to coveted stages across London's most popular venues and has seen us light up festivals across the entire UK. Our rapid ascent is a testament to the essential energy we bring to every room.

Our debut single, "About You," is the definitive evidence of our unique power. It's where funky sensibilities collide with massive, guitar-heavy riffs and the shimmering finesse of early 80's vocal melodies. A privilege we are delighted to share and an essential experience we are here to deliver.

When we manage to take a break from creating anthems, you can find us bringing that exact same signature energy (and a stack of crowd favourites) to the dance floor at weddings and corporate events.

We are MELODY FUSION TRIBE.

You may as well join the Movement.

All are Welcome.

Who ARE WE?

the line up

  • A man playing an electric guitar on stage, illuminated by red stage lighting.

    ROSHAN

Roshan's commitment to the guitar started innocently enough, thanks to his older brother around the age of 10. Adorable. It got obsessive once he discovered the instrumental firepower of shred-masters like Guthrie Govan and Joe Satriani. It was less a choice to get good, and more an immediate, non-negotiable step toward greatness.

Roshan operates as a melodic chameleon. His sound isn't one thing; it's a calculated composite, absorbing and synthesizing the best moments from every corner of the musical map: from R&B and Fusion to heavy doses of Blues and Rock. If a line catches his interest, he’s already assimilating it, mastering it by ear and integrating it into his arsenal for the next session.

  • A young woman with long dark hair styled in two buns sitting in a dimly lit outdoor setting, holding purple ropes, with string lights and brick wall background.

    NOVA

Nova is the latest, most kinetic addition to MFT's vocal lineup. She spent years in the music industry hustle, but when she joined the collective, her prior live experience amounted to exactly one performance. After a single MFT jam, Nova conquered three popular London venues in a single week.

This rapid-fire output is supported by genuine talent. Nova is an amazing songwriter and a master of skilled vocal improvisation. Each show she brings something different, seamlessly blending with Daniel. She draws heavily from the cool, complex songwriting of artists like RAYE and Sasha Keable.

  • A man with dreadlocks playing an electric bass guitar in a dimly lit setting.

    rhys

Rhys was never going to choose the bass; the bass chose him. A genetic destiny sealed early on by his Dad (professional bassist, teacher, and idol) giving lessons in the family home. He first picked up the instrument in 2006, fuelled by the desire to uphold the family name and master the groove.

Rhys’s entire rhythmic universe orbits the Funk, Disco, and Boogie of the 70s and 80s. The boogie is his undeniable niche, a comfort zone born from studying the masters like Teena Marie and carrying on the legacy of his father's work with groups like The Cool Notes.

His ultimate goal at any jam or demo is straightforward: lock into a bassline so outrageously funky, it becomes a pillar. His own personal philosophy aligns nicely with the Collective: Keep Funkin'.

  • A woman with curly hair tied back, wearing large hoop earrings and a black t-shirt, playing a white electric guitar on stage with dark background panels.

    maya

Hailing from East London, her path began five years ago as a curious interest in the guitar that quickly became a simmering passion, which proved too hard to ignore. Seemingly reserved, she prefers to speak through the music. The necessity of her grooves are clear to any blessed to hear them.

This focus is powered by her uncanny ear for arrangement. Her influences are a masterclass in rhythmic espionage, spanning icons who perfected the groove and complex lyricism: Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, and Jill Scott, alongside rhythmic titans like Nile Rodgers and George Benson.

  • A man singing passionately into a microphone at a performance or karaoke night, with an expressive facial expression and hand on chest, wearing a beige shirt with floral embroidery and a light-colored cap.

    daniel

Faith, Family, and Funk: These are the guiding principles for Daniel, one of the collective's core vocal powerhouses. His performance is fearless, and his true magic is a killer voice matched only by his unbelievable piano skills. He is unapologetically bold on stage and always commands attention.

Born in South London which contributes precisely "0.05% road" to his personality, Daniel's Nigerian heritage is the undeniable backdrop to his towering stage presence. The source code for his sound is deeply rooted in the heavy-hitting Gospel gems like Kirk Franklin and Maverick City, fused with the silky finesse of R&B kings such as Usher, Boyz II Men, and Joe.

  • A man playing a drum set in a music studio. He is wearing a brown hat and a gray shirt, with a wooden wall and black geometric shapes in the background.

    josh

Josh is the resident pulsekeeper of MFT. At 13, he ambled into a school music room, got immediately comfortable behind the kit. He cut his teeth playing in churches, local jazz and rock bands, as well as the festival circuit throughout his teenage years.

He started MFT as a low-stakes exercise: a means to reconnect with people and "mess around" with music once more. Predictably, this casual experiment snowballed into a full fledged creative force.

Josh’s musical influences are seemingly chaotic, blending the Foo Fighters' rock punch, the expressive genius of Kanye West, and the timeless grooves of Chic. He is the inescapable rhythmic backbone of the MFT collective.
